I feed predominantly heifers. Buy and background to 950 area. Can't rush as hard without getting fleshy at 950 as you can steers. Normally I buy heifers $30+ back of steers. If under $20 back steers are better buy. If only 10-15 back definitely buy the steers.
Lately been buying heifers closer to $40-50 back of steers. Then I'll take hfrs all day long.
