I would beg, borrow, or steal to get a mulcher. If you dont buy one, try and rent for a week, or multiple Saturdays. We just broke down and bought one, and it is unbelievable how much you can get done, and how great it looks when finished. No comparison to any other methods for those size of trees/brush.

Next best is a Danuser tree puller.


Will that mulcher mulch up thorn trees where you don't have thorns laying around looking for a tire to go into. My bushhog got the trees down but still have multiple thorns laying around


Hi Cobb,

Yes, if you set the thing down on its skids, and then rotate it forward, it mulches the whole thing a couple inches into the ground. The trick is to mow it down moving forward, then lower down and back up over it so the debris stays in one spot. I am sure it's possible to still get a thorn, but nothing like a brushhog.
