With EVs steadily chipping away at ICE market share.. and hence Gasoline and thus Ethanol demand.  If SAF is dead.. what will take its place?

Cheers.

Interesting point. Fossil fuels have "always" boosted ag production, to some degree there has always been back and forth, ag fueled transport for millenia up until historically recent times. Just so happens that an acre of solar panels is massively more productive than an acre of crops, and electricity is for more useful than carbs unless you're hungry or thirsty. "but the sun doesn't shine at night" etc. -Panels are $.20/watt, LiFePO4 is $100/KHW with a potential cycle life approaching 10k, possible NaFe batteries on the horizon. Solar has the potential to displace serious fossil fuel demand.
