EC IA | A local guy sold his 80 HD of cows last week at Tama sale barn. Oldest cows were 6 yr olds. All pairs with average of 250 lb calves. Average price was around 4100$. Seemed plenty high but with the market the way it is and what's available for sale i think they might have been a little underpriced. We Mostly just background calves but do have a small cowherd. Buying calve right now is a high priced job but until this cowherd grows nationwide I think market will stay good for awhile. | |
