I'm not going to try to guess what the 'strategy' is, but a weaker dollar makes our exports more competitive and imports more expensive so in a vacuum makes exports more attractive and imports less so. Is that what you are asking? Before foreign chemicals and parts, a weaker dollar was usually a farmer's friend. I think it still would be.
We learned zero from Covid. I contend a weaker dollar coupled with tariffs is very detrimental towards ag. |
