| I've only seen if I can recall two to three true "one nutters". However, a good handful over the years of deformed cryptoid testicles. I can't say they have increased over the years. It's just the more cattle you process, the more you become aware of it. More of a gene mutation type of thing, but I don't want to label it as that either because I have scientific or training to base my thoughts on it. But it stands to reason if it's a defect to effect fertility, that it should breed itself out of the picture.
However, JDSWMO how did your bull power's breeding soundness exams go on the bulls used in breeding these cows? I would think that any abnormalities should have shown up in testing. This is a great question for good cattle geneticist to see if they have ever traced those traits in cattle. | |
