NEND | I have noticed a peculiar thing when I try to make an A + Heading line today. 8310R tractor pulling a planter with receiver (SF6000) on planter. I have a Gen 5 display in the tractor and an SF7500 receiver with RTK. I calibrated the TCM, I have no offsets entered for the tractor or implement. I do have a 15.8” offset for the receiver on the planter. When I attempt to make a new straight guide line with A + Heading, the line is created about 4’ to my right. First picture was taken after I pressed Set A. Second picture is after I pressed Done Third picture is after the Autotrac Enabled message goes away. All of these pictures were taken as I was sitting still in the same spot as I where I made the A/B line. I have pulled up several old A/B lines that I have saved and they guide me where they should, right along the edge of a field. I also had a problem matching up to another tractor in a neighboring field. He told me what heading he had used on the side of a field. I lined my planter up to his air seeder, made a A + Heading line, (had to shift it because of the problem I deceived above) and started planting along side his air seeder pass. By the time I got to the other end of a pass (1/2 mile), I had about a 7’ gap between my last row and his pass. He has a John Deere system also. We double checked our headings, they were the same.
Is there a known issue with creating an A + Heading track with implement guidance on by chance? I didn’t try without, I just thought that could be an issue. I could try turning that off and create another line.
i have shared headings with neighbors for many, many years. Until today they were always spot on all the way down the field
