scmn | I call BS on the check the engine and if it’s ok then up the oil viscosity. Either they have a problem or they don’t. Different oil isn’t going to fix it.
Corvettes use the same L87 6.2L engine but run 0W-40 and are not having issues; issues with the L87 arise in the light trucks which use 0W-20 oil. Please present your data how "Different oil isn't going to fix it" when the data shows the issue does not present with 0W-40 oil; the engines using 0W-40 are not on the recall, only the ones running 0W-20. |
