| Internal battery replacement is Tadiron TL-2450. This replaces the original which was smaller. I may be too dumb to know why Ag Express doesn’t do these but as a Hail Mary I tried to do it myself and now everything works fine. Haven’t worked with a circuit board since building a metal detector 50 years ago. It was an 8 on level of difficulty on my shop bench. Found the battery at my local battery store (Rexx)and also on Amazon.
I’ll go into detail if you’re interested, but so far this spring the unit has performed flawlessly.
I had just found the guy (Dave) in England that used to repair these when he was closing up shop to retire but he was kind enough to tell me what battery to get.
