SE MN | Thanks guys. I updated the firmware on the gps and part of that process includes resetting the gps to defaults. After that the stableloc and nmea talker boxes were checked when they hadn't been before. I didn't know what those do but it seems like a smoothing function for reception dropouts and using all constellations vs gps only. After that it seems to have started working. I drove around some fields and near trees it lost the rtk fix and in areas with bad cell reception the error crept up to over 1", but it did ok so far. I will try the worst fields tomorrow.
I guess I learned that I need to start every spring with full firmware updates. | |
