Northwest Ohio | Have not needed to spray winter annuals (mainly field pennycress) in winter wheat before, but after this year thinking I may need to start.
What is preferred option: - Burnown in fall, prior to planting?
- Spray in fall after planting, but before dormancy?
- Do nothing in fall, and spray in early spring (before nitrogen pass)?
- Do nothing in fall, and spray in later spring (after nitrogen pass)?
- Residual or no residual?
Have never sprayed herbicide in wheat before (either fall or spring) ... so trying to figure out best option for next year.
