Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251 | Local potato chip plant refused a couple loads of potatoes. Local guy that hauls off and feeds the day to day culls and peels doesn't have a way to unload. So they are giving us the loads as we have a dock and loaders.
I like free feed, but it's not like I can plan to get a load a week.
I have dry fall cows, lactating spring pairs, and weaned 500 pound calves. I have a TMR and I am currently feeding a high hay ration with ethanol plant syrup.
What cattle would you feed them to? Whats the best way? Do I need to process them in some way before the TMR? How long will they keep on a uncovered pad? Does anyone have a rough ball park test of potatoes i can share with my nutrition guy?
