My thoughts are what is your real time crunch? Planting or harvest? If you own a combine that's a big expense for your acres. Maybe you could hire that done? But I suspect you have the biggest crunch in the spring? So maybe you should hire the spring fieldwork/planting done? Probably more technology to gain with the planter. And harvest is generally more forgiving timewise.
