Did a couple for me when I cleaned up some fence lines.
Other method is to gather up your scrap wood and light a good fire on/around the rock and the heat will crack it so pieces can be moved.
As a youngster my grandfather kept fire going around a big blue stone that was in field for most of a day and it did not split so they gathered up pails of water and tossed on the hot rock and it finally split.
Largest piece was still almost too big for a JD 60 to drag away.
It took several hookups to roll it a couple times when it bogged down before they got it to edge of field | |
