Mohawk Indiana | I hate to ask more questions but here goes.
Is your farm operation currently profitable?
If you partner with your friend, what do you actually bring to the table. It kind of sounds like your farm is treading water at best, your equipment needs updating and your seed production job takes most of your time.
I would recommend trying to keep farming the families land as long as possible. Maybe if your friend takes over the custom stuff and helps you out. IDK
