I have learned that way too many people" working for the man are doing awful, mindless, or otherwise unfulfilling work.
If you choose to look at a job like that in that manner, that is what it will become to you. If you choose to look at a job like that as "I am earning good pay, I leave the work problems in the rear view mirror at the end of the shift, I don't have uncontrollable conditions (weather/markets/politics) possibly deciding my fate for me, and I am proud to be supporting my family, those jobs can be just a rewarding as farming. For every person out there thinking like you, there are just as many who cannot fathom why someone would farm. |
