Coles County, Illinois | I use a 6420 to run a vac planter and there's a big difference in the hydraulic oil temperature depending on which scv valve I hook to the pressure side of the circuit. I do return to the recommended place as I added a kit that has a separate quick couple. The cool running circuit was added as #3 SCV. It has a 3 position black knob on top instead of the two position knob. It has the same green flow control setup as the two standard scvs. I believe the cool running valve is a 300 series SCV and the original valves are 200 series SCV. I run my seed auger off one of the 200 series valves and before I moved the Vac to the 300 series SCV you had to use gloves to disconnect the seed wagon hoses. Now it's not a problem to disconnect with bare hands. Another thing I noticed is that you can adjust the vac level once and not have to re-adjust it as the tractor warms up in the morning. I did notice the repair kit for a 300 series is different than a 200 series so one could mess up a rebuild. | |
