My dad died 4 days after my 1st birthday from Lukemia likely caused by the Agent Orange from Vietnam.  After that I hung out a lot with my maternal grandfather.   He was a small dairy farmer I learned the love of farming from him.   I’ve worked my way into one of the better hourly jobs at my off farm job benefits are as good as you can get.   BUT I can tell you I’m 4 days short of 77 months before I’m retirement eligible.   I’ve never thought gee I need to have an auction so I can spend more time at work.   I burn nearly every day of vacation farming.  I give 100% while I’m in side the fence but my hearts into farming.   I’m one of the those people goes full tilt into everything.
