Just my luck I got one , my first new truck last year. I've read GM mechanics on forums saying that an engine replacement would take 20 hours and that they are 6 months behind on receiving new engines before this even went into effect. So I have very little faith that GM is going change many engines. The rumored "fix" is a different oil filter and higher weight oil.
