There’s one type low restriction nipple with no ball or tit sticking out of the end that’s used for the motor return on my old planter. It may be a check valve to prevent reverse flow, but I haven’t ever taken it off to look inside.
I have a plain ball type on the pressure line with the flow control valve block.
