Scranton | Back almost 50 years ago, my brother and I found brass high power and probably something like 9 mm ammo at this recently abandoned house on a farm dad bought. We took it home and when we were burning house trash in a barrel, we stuck a piece of pipe of similar diameter in the hottest part of the fire, then dropped the shells down facing upwards one at a time, and every single one ignited. We stood behind a wooden chicken house door, and since the pipe wasn't rifled, the bullets came out in no particular direction. One went through the wall near us.
We did a lot of dumb things back then. | |
