After pulling it out and loading it in the truck to take to a repair facility I read the replies.  I wish I'd asked before I did that.

I thought the idea of the diverter valve seal was best.  But to be sure I unloaded the dishwasher and brought it back in the kitchen.  I hooked it up and ran it to view any leaks.  After 10 minutes with no leaks, it leaked.  Front door was spewing water back and made it appear that the leak was from under the dishwasher.

Now to remove the door and replace the seal, should be here in a week, I couldn't find any locally so I ordered it from https://www.appliancepartspros.com/

I'm really getting a little old for all this, no assistance to load and unload the dishwasher.
