Are the oats and Sudan planted in the same year? By my logic the Sudan would have to go in double cropped as soon as the oats came off which would be pretty iffy unless it’s a wet summer. I actually tried this last summer-after I got the oat bales off a 35A patch I got a .75 shower so I went in on a whim and drilled haygrazer. Ended up getting a 3/4 stand which by the end of summer was knee to maybe waist high in the best spots. There wasn’t enough to bale but I turned my cows in on it after the freeze and they ate it down to bare dirt.
