Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I guess that's an idea BUT if you've not had a problem in the past and the hydraulics were just worked ON, I would lean toward some type of problem with the repair. I assume this is from the Vac pump. Can you try the Vac Pump with a different SCV? Do you have a low restriction coupler on the Vac return? These are recommended. Only problem is if they become disconnected (like ours did the first day out), you can lose a lot of oil in a hurry.
I have a different situation but was using SCV V for a spray pump and it was surging. I had the markers on SCV II which we rarely use anyway.
I swapped the pump to SCV II and the markers to SCV V. Now the pump runs smoothly. The markers work if we need to use them.
A Tech I trust, says there must be something wrong with SCV V. Since the markers are the only time SCV V ever gets used and if so the markers do seem to work, I haven't had anyone look into mine.
