| Yeah, training for the fires you are going to fight is necessary. Your department probably doesn't want to train for skyscraper fires but grass, house, equipment, and shop fires. Maybe a grain elevator fire. In Nebraska they have a statewide class in the spring in Grand Island that has a lot of classes all weekend. Local college has a weekend of classes about the same time. I guess any knowledge you can get is only a benefit. | |
