We should encourage innovation. If you aren't a Doctor, Lawyer or Insurance salesman you have to innovate to get ahead.
We already limit the federal income tax on low earners to near nothing. The issue is the lack of taxation on your situation mentioned, as well as state and local taxes especially sales are still a huge burden a regressive tax if ever there was.
So how do you reward innovation? Clear the way and expedite regulations. Encourage people to do business with small businesses.
Oligarchy reform needs to happen. You could make the argument we made good progress 100 years ago. Might be time to clamp down again, but will have to wait til the next election cycle for it to happen.
I fully expect a bloodbath in the House for Republicans. The boat typically floats in the upright position. Waaay to tilted the wrong way at this point.
