Agree. Have to plant to potentially receive insurance. Have a neighbor that says he won’t plant 500-700 acres unless it rains. I bet he changes his mind.
There is the case to be made that insurance is lower than the cost of the inputs, but it’s not cheap to let it sit either. And would likely go to wheat in the fall which is a loser right now too.
