I have no facts to back this up but I had some ammonium sulfate spread on some small corn a couple years ago and the sulfur smell was evident and I noticed the deer left it alone for about a week to ten days. I actually had a nuisance permit and was checking the fields nightly so it was obvious that they had moved out.
