The millionaire next door is a good one.
We bought copies for our three kids when they were young and paid them to read it. We did several books that way. Gave them the books and told them we would give them 100 dollars if they would read it and give us a short written book report of a few paragraphs. That way we would know if at least opened the book up and read enough to make up a short report. A hundred bucks was quite a bit back then when they were in their teenage years.
The two sons would always do minimal amount to just get paid. Daughter would end up with two pages of report. LOL Just differences in their demeanor.
