The payment credits immediately, but available credit does not return for 14 days. Thus with a 20,000 credit line the balance can be 0.00 and a $100.00 charge will get declined for insufficient credit available.
Take your 30,000 claas bill example and put it on card with 35,000 limit, then pay card and available credit stays at 5,000 for 2 weeks even though balance is $0.00 after payment. Prevents using card for several large purchases in a single month.
It is a pita when you pay a lot of recuring payments and then toss a large repair in an pay immediately and they deny seversl sutomatic psyments.
Don't know why your card is different but when i make an online payment my available credit $$ amount is replenished virtually immediately, there's a screen that shows confidie flying around and the available credit limit "clock ticker" goes up just like watching our national debt clock!!! Have had a charge denied for insufficient credit, go to there app, make a payment and in 2 minutes go back and run the amount again and it goes thru, are you doing online payments or mailing checks?? |
