| It goes deeper than that. We've setup allowed, and encouraged a system where "Private equity" can buy a profitable company like Toys R Us. Loot it, make billions off of it, and move on. The same thing just happened to JoAnn's Fabrics. Shut down for no reason other than greed. We've encouraged a generation of robber barrons to destroy profitable companies. And they sleep like babies. And they buy politicians. Our business and political systems tend to move the sociopath's to the top, because the average person doesn't become a billionaire. That takes a special kind of ruthlessness. It's not just taxes. It's an entire system that's been fabricated to reward the fabulously wealthy and punish anyone who goes along. Should the average Wal Mart worker NOT be on Food Stamps? When the owners are worth billions? HELL NO. That's not unreasonable. |
