Not just for you and I, but for the vast majority of US agriculture.
I remember parents telling kids to get away from the farm and don’t come back. Big hog and ethanol allowed ag to bring the best and brightest home, generate some income, and start to thrive.
I was lucky, I had a ringside seat to the foundations and the intent.
I would venture that the parents telling the kids not to come home were themselves not the best and the brightest. Never have understood why you would tell someone you love not to participate in something they may love. I wonder if some of these that were 'allowed' to come home just because there was money in it for awhile will be the next to tell their kids to 'get away'. Lol. |
