Ottawa, Ontario | Cow-calf operation. Cows currently get a non-medicated loose mineral in the yard. Farm owner wants to run their donkeys with the cows when they go to grass next week. No issue with that but the label on the mineral clearly says not to feed to equines or sheep. It says the mineral can cause copper toxicosis in sheep but no reason given why equines can’t have it. Feed store didn’t know either. Any loose mineral products that you know are safe for horses/donkeys out there? | |
