You don’t need crop insurance to farm… you just said it was worthless because you can grow better crops than it covers. Park the premium money in an account if your worried, watch that grow and cover your losses if need be.

The whole FSA thing is a complete joke. I’ve been going long enough I no longer qualify for the young farmer program but never thought twice about not going to the bank. Have a good relationship and when I make a phone call it’s how much you need and when do you need it. It’s a two way street where you both need to trust and have a good relationship about your finances.

You keep saying it’s needed to help the young guy but I just don’t believe it… get the government and the government money out of peoples operations and things will self correct…. Just my opinion. If you have the drive and ambition you can make it work on your own, you don’t need anyone else’s money to help you along.
