That room must be full of elephant crap because the elephant entered the room many years ago. I would venture to say that wheat hasn't 'worked' for most of 2 decades. It was a nice rotation for some soil cover and to spread workload, but unless the dc beans, corn, or feed made good....it was a pocketbook drainer. We have no wheat for grain harvest on this farm for the first time ever. Granted, it has been token acres for many years and decades since every acre following wheat wasn't double cropped. Anyone using tillage and planting predominantly wheat has likely been draining equity for years or at the very least enduring massive opportunity costs.

You can be stagnant and complain, or be flexible to look for opportunities to not only survive....but thrive.
