The fist part of what you said is in the details, but I’ve never heard of anyone actually being kicked out. Know if one that went the full 40 years and owner inherited a decent amount before term was up. The numbers you gave are old, what it was when I did them. I have done both. You can now get 600k from FSA and both require the other half of the loan from another lender, totally 1.2m. There was a house bill a couple years ago wanting to increase these to 1m from FSA. I’m on an advisory board to our representative. I commented similar to what has been said here. I was certain it passed but maybe not in the senate, as what I found on USDA website is what I posted above. I think everyone should use these programs while they are available, but when a person really gets down to it most if not all subsidies could be eliminated (over time) and we would be no worse off because of it.
