| Fair enough. These reports aren't very good if you don't know how to read them and especially if you are unfamiliar with the report's procedure. I'm no expert, but our analyst works for a large banker's bank where they do understand those things. They then lay it out for folks like me, who value a paraphrase, but don't want to read footnotes of lengthy reports.
News media exists to sell ads. So flashy headlines are what we get. Need clicks, viewers, listeners. They all cherry pick data points to cater to what their audience wants. I actually find financial media to have far less political bias than most. Generally speaking, when profit is the motive, there seems to be less idealism. It's still not perfect, just an observation. | |
