Kansas City, Missouri | Every time someone posts a picture like this, folks act like blowing a little grass in the road is a federal offense. Let’s be honest—if you’ve got a fence, house, shed, or anything else along the edge, the clippings are going in the road. I’m not about to mulch my siding just so the road stays spotless for half an hour.
And don’t even get me started on the bikers—both kinds. If your $6,000 Tour de France bike or your weekend Harley can’t handle a few grass clippings without turning sideways, maybe you don’t belong on the road in the first place. This is the country. We’ve got bigger things to worry about than whether a blade of grass touched your tread.
You want pristine shoulders and spotless pavement? Stick to the city where they sweep the gutters and you can sip cold brew at the bike shop afterward. Out here, we mow ditches, fix fence, and get back to work.
