oregon | What a comedy of errors. I harrowed one pass and planted my sweet corn on 21-inch rows at an 8-inch spacing. Then instead of moving over I somehow got confused and ran over the same rows again and so now I have corn coming up about every 4 inches. The field was too wet when I planted, so some of it sealed over hard and there are skips out there where nothing came up. In other places, about every seed came up. Fortunately, this is a garden plot of maybe 1/5 an acre so the whole project is usually more trouble than it is worth. Still, I'd like to keep it. How does sweet corn over planted at ~75,000 seeds per acre do? Any suggestions? Thanks. | |
