East of Broken Bow | Our local Subway does a sub 'meal of the day' with a 12" sub, drink and chips for $10. They have a little board that tells you what the meal of the day is. Sometimes you can get the whole meal cheaper than just the bare sub.
As to steaks, our nearest Applebees is about a 6 of 10, better than most, but it is actually hard to find a bad steak around here. When my wife and I travel, we sometimes meet old friends, or even new 'online' friends who often want to go to a steakhouse, and I find that once we get out of feedlot country, the steaks get smaller, tougher, and more expensive. I got a good chuckle out of hunters one time years ago who said that our local $20 would be closer to $50 where they were from. | |
