south central WI | We are in the process of ordering one now. We ordered an International with a 9 liter. They are phasing them out and the new engine is either $150k or $250k more, from what I was told, so we ordered it right away. (I'm on the outside of this deal, just what I've been told). stainless and Repair is building ours, they've built most of them for us. I believe the bill will be in the $750k range. Other brands were well over a million, so it pays to ask around.
We are an all volunteer dept. We hold many fundraisers every year, and will pay for half of this truck from our funds. Ibelieve they figured the truck would cost the taxpayers roughly $38 a year extra. | |
