southern MN | More or less the past few years there is an early window to plant when it’s a little too early, then it rains monsoon around here, then if you waited you get to plant near June into mud and if you didn’t wait you get to replant a few low spots.
No one wants to wait until June.
We haven’t had the harsh late frosts that we often got 20 years ago, so everyone goes with the early rush for now. I understand that.
I’m old enough to chuckle at ‘how well early planted beans work.’ Weather patterns cycle, that trend will end abruptly one year. But I’m sure it does work well until it doesn’t.
