south central WI | We had this issue last year also. I decided to try it again, but only on half my corn acres. Sprayer was clean, I sprayed fungicide before this and rinsed the tank. Filled tank with water and added 55oz of Harness Max per acre, spraying at 15 gpa (last year I sprayed 12gpa, our normal rate for Lumax or surestart). I sprayed a total of around 1300 gallons. Inside the tank there was globs of residue already. I inspected the boom filters and the main filter and those were bad also. I was told to try adding dawn dish soap. Is this going to help much, and how much do I add? Is there any other things to try? Last year I think I could spray 500 acres before it was completely unusable.
Chemical is well mixed in the tote, we are running only water and Harmess Max, it's agitating while mixing and the agitating valve is 3/4 open while spraying so it should be circulating well. Tank is Emptied in an hour immediately after filling. Running around 40psi +/- through turbo jet AIXR 11005 nozzles. Product added through inductor? on side of sprayer, not dumped directly in.
