It absolutely is. What land are you going to buy thats under 500k? Heck in most places that wont even buy you an 80.

Once I made it though my first loan the FSA has been a breeze. Very flexible with payment as I pay every 2 weeks on my loans... Its just that initial loan with 30 pages of crap that might be the difference between starting out and getting the farm next door or watching someone else farm it for your lifetime...

There is already so many barriers to entry for someone starting out why add another one? I just laughed at some of the banks I reached out to when I was looking for my first loan said needed 25% down. I said what 21 year old coming out of college has 50k laying around they didnt have much to say... Sums up why there is the issues there is now.
