| Yes, politics affects everything, but you might have noticed I'm not bringing up policies that don't directly affect markets, so your point is moot.
I'm not exactly shocked that someone from the U.S. would see genuine curiosity about other cultures as a waste of time. Don't worry about how I chose to spend my time, I'm learning a lot.
And to comfort you further, I won’t be here forever. Once you've driven me and the other bothersome foreigners off, you’ll be free to skip the forest for a few familiar trees again.
