One of the last Amoxicillin plants in the U.S. closed in MO in 2020. Both State and Federal legislators were contacted and everybody was just "Meh". Josh Hawley called back a couple of months after the plant was razed. This plant also produced short runs of various other products. These products are now all produced in China or elsewhere. It seemed stupid at the time to allow this plant to close. It still seems stupid. This is where the "small govt, free market" crowd meets reality.
