I am absolutely amazed at the amount of rainfall some of you further south can get and still get a crop planted. We can get a half inch and be done for a week because of lack of sun and sprinkles for the next 5 days.
No kidding.. In 2011.. 13.8 inches is almost more rain than we received for the entire year.. We entered 2025 beginning our 4th year of drought. We still haven’t totally recovered from 2022.. With three sub par dryland wheat crops. It has NOT totally broken everywhere here.. but April has brought us multiple showers.. and for the year we’re up to like 4 to 6”. We only had like 11” to 12” TOTAL For the entire growing season in 2011.. and not much more in 2022.. with some reservoirs still trying to recover since.
Edit add..Flip side.. some are nearly done planting.. some are considering changing corn to sorghum.. or.. ???
AND they got that in A SINGLE MONTH?!?
