Indianapolis Indiana | I’m probably big talk, but a few years ago i went to a 24 row Kinze finger pickup. And i andded electric clutches to it. My dad runs the corn planter and is very old school. He was nervous about them and technology and I told him if they gave us problems or didn’t seem accurate we could just turn em off. They’ve been flawless honestly. He is comfortable with them. This year we abruptly added a 2 box seed tender with the programmable scales because of his back. He said he loves that also.
It’s a lot of money but in my case it allows dad to farm longer and me to have an experienced operator on the corn planter longer. His goal isn’t to farm till he’s 90, as im sure yours isn’t either with your son also in the operation, but the upgrades like the tender allow him to work longer and easier. Which for me is is priceless all things considered | |
