I’m a Commissioner in a small District and the prices of new vehicles are outrageous and not getting any better. Not to mention they have you over the barrel.
We took delivery of a new TP last September that was ordered in 2021 (delivered September of 24). Cost $750k was told same thing now is $1.3mil.
We signed a contract in Nov for a new RP for $1.6 mil and they are already talking about price increases- they’re still trying to blame covid give me a break. It’s bs
We are a small District, with a small tax base. At some point the public is not going to support spending like this. It’s not sustainable. As one of my fellow Commissioners likes to tell people, we could have a chicken barbecue every weekend for 30 years and still not pay for these
