Ohio_farmer - 5/1/2025 07:37 We planted 15" corn for silage up until 2013. Yielded well and worked good. The problem with 15" rows is they are committed to silage and a major pain for the combine. Switched everything to 20" and haven't looked back. 20" is nice! One pass through. Plants are farther apart in each row and often are leafier than 30", with the right hybrid. Equipment is easier with 20" then 15" but not as much room to move residue as 30".
